“I met my two Veteran Agent Advocates when I attended the “Welcome Home 2nd Annual Vietnam Veterans Day” services in Murfreesboro, Tennessee. I started talking with one of the Advocates and told her that I was President of the Cannon County Vietnam Veterans of America Chapter 1146 in Woodbury, Tennessee. I asked if she would consider being our guest speaker in April. She worked it into her schedule and made a quick informative presentation at the meeting, which many are still thinking about. At the meeting, our group discussed the upcoming “Good Old Days'' activities. I told my Advocate that she could join us if she wanted, and we set it up. We hoped more contacts could be made. My wife and I both signed up later that week. Both my Advocates attended the “Good Old Days” festival and were introduced to many in the American Legion and others who came up to our booth. They were well-pleased with the information the Advocates told them. Personally, I now have two new friends and will always be recommending them to others who they might be able to help. My wife and I have received our cards and started using them. We’re now receiving statements that our take-home pay is $100 more each.”
